The title really says it all, I am using an Audix i5 held in place by an Audix CabGrabber to record my Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 112 amp. I used my Ibanez JS1000 for all the demos. I don’t know why it took me so long to notice the I5, I like it way better (I have heard side by side comparisons) than the sm57. It’s way more accurate and clear, and seems to pick up the very high and very low frequencies better. I am getting a couple, they are so cheap. One of these on my G12T-75 into one track panned left, one on the 70/80 on another track panned right, condenser 4′ back on a 3rd track centered, maybe I can get that “in the room with a stack” sound come out in my recordings.

Nice Vid! Like another comment said, you are probably the first to do this amp any justice on YouTube. I’ve owned and played one for a couple years now and it is a TONE MACHINE! Just one of the most underrated amps out there. Just wait they’ll be discontinued and then everyone will catch on… Anytime I think I’ve found something better I just plug strait in and am happily reminded that this amp is the business for probably %90 of guitar driven music out there.
