Michael Greenwood, 44, of Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 8 years to 8 years and one day in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to breaking into the day with the intent to commit a crime. The sentence is to run in conjunction with any federal sentence now served. He was sentenced to a concurrent sentence of 4 to 5 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to larceny of a building. Two counts of being a habitual offender were dismissed.
William Brown, 34, 24 Carron Lane, Oxford, was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction with 18 months to be served, after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, amended from trafficking in cocaine and possession of proceeds derived from opium with intent to distribute, modify from trafficking in heroin, morphine or opium. The balance of the sentence was suspended for 2 year suspended sentence. As conditions of probation, was ordered to remain drug-and alcohol-free, to submit to random drug tests and pay for the drugs of $ 150, plus $ 90 victim witness.A charge of possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute was dismissed at the request of the republic.


Ricardo H. Denizard, 34, of 182 Vernon Street, Worcester, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), intimidation of a witness, vandalizing property, a necessary finding of not guilty allowed, and assault with a dangerous weapon (stick), dismissed without prejudice.
Joseph C. Lackey, 36, of 29 Columbia Street, Worcester, charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, a fine of $ 1125, $ 50 fees of witnesses and victims, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, filed with a guilty verdict, and vandalizing property, dismissed.
William Mensah, 42, of 46 Harley Drive, Worcester, charged with assault and battery, dismissed without prejudice.
Sat F. Charest, 19, 57 Camp St, Worcester, charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), dismissed without prejudice upon payment of attorney fees to bars or completion of community service.
Marek Szymborska, 48, of 73 Harlem St., Worcester, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Small plane crashes at Fryeburg airport — Maine News — Bangor ...

FRYEBURG, Maine — Officials say a strong cross-wind spun a small plane around as it was landing, causing it to crash near the runway. The pilot was not harmed.

Fire Chief Philip Weymouth said the pilot aborted his first landing attempt because of wind gusts and was making his second try when he ran into real trouble. He said the plane was near the ground when a gust spun it around like a corkscrew before depositing it in a sandy gully.

Weymouth said the pilot, Laurence Ketner of Norway, walked away from the crash.

Weymouth said the plane plopped on the ground without rolling. He said Ketner was lucky to escape injury because the impact was hard enough to buckle the six-seat Cessna’s landing gear.
