Harvest of Heritage exhibit on display through Aug. 20
The Town of Windsor Museum will present the Harvest of Heritage, a traveling exhibit hosted at the Art and Heritage Center, from July 6 through August 20.
The Art and Heritage Center is located at 116 5th street in downtown Windsor. Hours during the exhibit will be Wednesdays and Saturdays noon-4 p.m. or by appointment.
The exhibit honors over two dozen of Colorado's master traditional artists whose work celebrates Colorado's rich agricultural heritage.
The artwork on display includes photographs, sculpture, wheat art, leather and rawhide braiding, horsehair work, decorated saddles, and Mexican fabric art. Interpretive displays highlight the stories of artists and many others who have worked with glass, quilts, painting and weaving.
Many of the artists showcased in this exhibit have been recognized by the Colorado Creative Industries Cultural Heritage Program as cultural and artistic stewards.
The exhibit is presented by Colorado Creative Industries, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts American Masterpieces Program, and created and toured by the Museum of Western Colorado.
